SHEIK AND LINK ohhhhh my god. I love this pairing, straight or yaoi. Love is love.

The first time I ever saw him when I played the N64 I was really sceptical and hesitant. I thought at first he would stab Link in the back, so I didn't want to go to the forest right away... Hence Link's sort of worried expression.

But then Sheik pulls out that well-worn lyre, and they play a beautiful duet in the trees, and in my mind I imagine the sort of pain that Zelda was in when she had been waiting and waiting for fairy-boy and that pain secretly laced into each song. Then after every temple I would look forward to seeing Sheik again, as if he were some beacon of light telling me that no, the protagonist I'm playing is not much, much too young for the horrible fate set upon him, that everything will be alright as long as they can play music together, and I fell into a true pit of fangirlism.</b>

<sub>In my opinion I love Sheik no matter what gender or canon you think he is. Personally I view him as Zelda in disguise... but I can't help but refer to Sheik as a he! XD I think if you stripped Sheik down and removed all that magic you'd have a very vulnerable yet willful Zelda, who I totally respect from the OOT game because she had to go through a hell of a long time in another kind of body while watching her people suffer from the shadows, always just waiting for the green hero to show up. Just my two cents
