LoZ : King of Thieves

if you don't mind me tootin' my own horn, this looks pretty good for being done at 1 AM without any references, no? I should be studying for that exam but Ganondorf is a much more preferable distraction. Despite being my favourite videogame villain I'm surprised I draw him so little... _{maybe it's because HE'S FRIGGIN DIFFICULT TO DRAW}

I always wondered how irritatingly long it must take for TP Ganondorf to do his hair up, and I wonder how annoyed he would get if the chains holding the braids up would come down. er so my teensy fanfic here is that Zelda, in an attempt to escape the TP tower in which our lovely King of Thieves has confined her, shot an arrow at his head to try and assassinate him... and failed, only to mess up his 'do. _{/CUE BEGINNING TO ENDLESS FIERY RAGE.}


My favourite characterization of Ganondorf is when he is a shrewd, smart, and bitter Gerudo king (which means I pretty much disagree with almost all the forms of him from the videogames EXCEPT for Windwaker and TP--but only TP because damn that is some AWESOME character designing). The man to lead a nation of battered, belittled, proud women--isn't that delicious? Isn't that fantastic fodder for character development? The few fanfics I've seen that do Ganondorf properly is when they make him sensible, moral, but still utterly power-hungry and evil and totally astray from the path of "just king" of his already-abused people. It's when you include that his people love him but hate what he's become, the fact that he can kill you with a scintillating golden stare... hah! I could go on forever! I just hope Nintendo makes the next Zelda game have as much emotional depth with the villains as they do with the heroes/sidekicks XD
