Maybe it's people going to work in the morning! Maybe it's a new form of roller coaster ride! Maybe it's some form of bathing, going for a quick wash through the clouds! Maybe it's an alliance between two uncanny races! MAYBE IT'S JUST THE DRAGON FEELING NICE, INVITING PEOPLE TO RIDE IT FOR THE SAKE OF RIDING IT!
And since the Sky Dragon is quite docile and conversational, with a very polite and sweet way of talking, maybe the people will actually overlook the fact that there is absolutely nothing to belt them to their seats! 8D
--- This was painted with acrylics on a ridiculously large canvas (76 cm by 61 cm, GOOD LORDY) and took me two weeks on and off. It is my second painting piece for visual arts class, meaning it's also my last piece to hand in (tearface, my last high school visual arts class...). I fingerpainted the clouds after having an argument with all my paintbrushes, recoloured that dragon like 17345 times because IT KEPT LOOKING LIKE DRATINI, struggled with perspective and then gave up, and am ULTIMATELY VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PIECE. It looks lovely in my house.
This must be some kind of hidden allegory to the special relationships between humans, technology, transportation, and fantasy, but hey, it's up to you to interpret!
Strangely appropriate for the year of the dragon, no?
And totally not partially inspired by all that Skyward Sword-ing I've been doing. Nope. Not inspired at all.
i'm so glad to see this picture of yours-as well as the one with the flying fishes. your latest works look so clean, full of light and fresh,i really love it.they give me the impression you're having a lovely time in life
oh please pretty dragon invite me too!*w* i want to have a rideeee xDDD
i cannot see the watermark though, dear o-o is it just me?
B'AWWWW, I TOTALLY AM HAVING A HAPPY AND LIGHT TIME IN LIFE
I like how artwork reflects on the artist IF YOU WANT A RIDE YOU'LL FIRST HAVE TO GET ON A PLANE. I don't think these dragons like going on the ground much...
and thanks for notifying me about the watermark... I can't see it either. I'll go fix that.
That ladder looks kinda unstable there.... XD I like the composition and perspective in this piece, though I would just say the sun/sky doesn't seem quite bright enough to me; I think maybe the yellow is a tad too desaturated. Just my opinion; this is overall very purty
AHAHAHA that ladder... I was considering drawing it like all taped together and bolted at odd angles, like it's been broken before... but then I kind of felt like that would be too much 8D
omg! I remember when I was five and first trying escalators, I kept like doing the "dip-the-toe-in-the-water" thing by touching my foot on the first step and then screeching and pulling back XDDD
oh man, my mom would always freak out ("okay LIFT YOUR FEET DON'T LET IT GET YOUR SHOELACES LIFT LIFT LIFT") so I would actually jump on and off them. I'm pretty lucky I never fell backwards doing something so stupid. >_>
